We want you to feel confident in your decision and comfortable with your new companion. If, within the first 72 hours after bringing your Maltipoo puppy home, you realize that the match isn’t right, we offer the following options:
Puppy Exchange Program
If your puppy’s temperament, energy level, or personality doesn’t align with your family’s lifestyle or expectations, we will work with you to find a better match.
How It Works:
- Contact us immediately within 72 hours of your puppy arriving home
- Provide a veterinary wellness examination report (required within 48 hours of arrival)
- Discuss your concerns and what would be a better fit for your situation
- Exchange for another available puppy of equal or lesser value from a current or upcoming litter
What We Need:
- Puppy must be in the same health condition as at placement
- Veterinary examination confirming puppy’s health status
- Original health records and documentation
- All items provided with the puppy (food, blanket, etc.)

Partial Refund Consideration
If an exchange isn’t the right solution for your situation, we may consider a partial refund based on individual circumstances.
Refund Guidelines:
- Requests must be made within 72 hours of puppy arrival
- Requires veterinary health examination within 48 hours of arrival
- Puppy must be returned in good health with all documentation
- Refund amount (typically 50-75% of purchase price) determined by:
- Specific circumstances of the return
- Puppy’s age and condition
- Veterinary findings
- Timeline of notification
Non-Refundable Costs:
- Delivery fees
- Veterinary examinations and health certificates
- Microchip registration fees
- Administrative processing fees

Tell us what’s happening. We listen without judgment and work to understand your circumstances fully. The more we know, the better we can help both you and your dog.
Step 3: Veterinary Assessment
Provide current veterinary records showing:
- Recent wellness examination (within 30 days if possible)
- Vaccination history
- Any health conditions or treatments
- Behavioral observations
If your dog hasn’t seen a vet recently, we may require an examination before return.
Step 4: Transition Planning
We coordinate the details:
- Transportation: Personal return to our location, or we arrange safe ground transport (transportation costs apply for distance returns)
- Timing: Scheduled at a mutually convenient time
- Belongings: You may send favorite toys, blankets, or items with familiar scents to ease their transition
Step 5: Continued Care
Upon return, your Maltipoo receives:
- Thorough veterinary evaluation
- Comfortable, loving environment in our home
- Behavioral assessment and any needed training support
- Time to decompress and readjust
- Careful placement in a new forever home (with the same thorough screening we use for puppies)
Step 6: Closure and Updates
If you wish, we’ll provide updates on how your former companion is adjusting and settling into their new chapter. Some families appreciate closure; others prefer a clean break. We respect your preference.

⚖️ Important Clarifications & Limitations
No Refunds After 72 Hours: Once the initial 72-hour adjustment period has passed, all sales are final. However, our lifetime return commitment remains in effect—we will always take your Maltipoo back into our care.
Health Guarantee Separate: Our health guarantee (covering genetic and congenital conditions) is a separate policy from our refund/return policy. Health issues covered under warranty are addressed according to the health guarantee terms.
Non-Transferable: This policy applies only to the original purchaser. If you rehome your Maltipoo privately to another family, these guarantees do not transfer to the new owner.
Good Faith Requirement: This policy assumes good faith care of your puppy, including appropriate veterinary care, nutrition, and humane treatment. Evidence of neglect or abuse voids all guarantees and may result in legal action.
Required Documentation: All returns require:
- Original purchase contract and documentation
- Veterinary records and current health assessment
- Microchip information
- Honest disclosure of any behavioral or health issues
